CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIPS:

  • PAIV will provide, upon availability of funds, two (2) scholarships for the United Council on Welfare Fraud (UCOWF) Conference for up to $275.00 of the current early registration fee to Regular PAIV members who meet the following criteria:
  • UCOWF Scholarship Applications are not available online but sent to "Regular" members 60 days prior to the conference
  • Two consecutive years of regular PAIV membership to include the current membership year
  • Was not a scholarship recipient at the prior years UCOWF conference
  • Will not be receiving a UCOWF Sponsorship

EDUCATION/TRAINING SCHOLARSHIPS:

Scholarships in this category are to assist members who wish to obtain further education and training to enhance their knowledge and skills as an investigator. Scholarships are dependent upon availability of funds and application approval by the Executive Board. Monies will be disbursed as reimbursement upon successful completion of the training.

  • All courses, training, or workshops must be directly related to the prevention, detection,and appropriate adjudication of welfare fraud in Virginia.
  • Applicants must hold regular PAIV membership for not less than two consecutive years to include the current membership year.
  • Applicants must submit a completed Application for PAIV Continuing Education Scholarship. Decisions will be made and the applicant will be notified within 30 days.
  • Appropriate verification of course completion and proof of payment must be submitted to the Executive Board. If the course of study is with an accredited university or college, the recipient must have maintained a grade of “C” or higher.
  • PAIV will reimburse up to $100.00 per scholarship request, not to exceed $300.00 per person, per membership year.
